Davis, testified recently that superiors at the Pentagon decreed there would be “no acquittals” of prisoners tried before military tribunals. He said he also was told that the timing of charges against well-known detainees “could have real strategic political value.”  — The Times

Stoned Again in iChatI’m absolutely addicted to the Evangelical’s The Evening Decends album right now. And, of course, I use the iTunes track broadcaster in iChat because I’m music-snobby like that.

Then, one of my close work buddies sends me over a screen grab of my “status”. Ah, iChat, if only it was true.

Woz on the Yahoo MS deal

I actually think it will probably be a good thing. Yahoo’s been struggling for a number of years to basically be as exciting, interesting and innovative as Google. And I think that will put it in a better framework… There’s a lot of things you can criticize Microsoft for but I don’t really see them as being evil. I think they really want to do in a business sense what makes them the most money… and that usually involves efficiencies in business and I think that is what the Yahoo deal will amount to.  – Steve Wozniak
